  • Get ready for the next session of Fialta's new Sunday evening: “Windows on the World”. 
  • Each week an interactive presentation will open windows on a variety of subjects from around the world.
  • This week's 'Windows on the World' will be the second session of our look on Germany and is titled 'Uranium vs. Wind. Changes in Germany Energy policy'. Germany earned a reputation in recent years to be one for the first major countries to shift a considerable portion of its energy production to renewable sources. It decided to shut down all nuclear power plants by the 2020s and replacing them with alternative sources such as wind, water or solar energy. On the reverse side though, energy prices are rising more and more, renewables are heavily subsidized by the government and Germany now even has to import electricity...
