Windows on the World: Is it a Man's World? Men & Women in Germany

Sunday May 5th, 7 pm, Fialta


  • Get ready for the next session of Fialta's new Sunday evening: 'Windows on the World'. Each week an interactive presentation will open windows on a variety of subjects from around the world. In the discussion-part there is also plenty of space for your own views and opinions.
  • This week’s 'Windows on the World' will continue our look on Germany. The event is titled 'Is it a Man's World? Men & Women in Germany'. Today few women in Germany are satisfied with just marrying and taking care of a husband and the children. In many professions men and women can be found working in side by side in full equality. The open struggle for emancipation of women of the 60s and 70s is long over, yet still today women are facing difficulties and inequality. They get paid less, or often even struggle to find a kinder garden for their children in order to take a job and be independent...
